Inkosi lanyard musings

I noticed today from looking at various pictures that the Inkosi lanyard comes tied with a snake knot. Usually CRK reserves the snake knot for lanyards with a bead on them, but the Inkosi doesn't come with a lanyard bead. Typically a bead-less CRK lanyard is tied with a hangman's knot, not the snake knot.

Anyone else notice this? Any idea why this is?
