Hello

I have a large inkosi since. Couple of months now and the opening / closing of the knife it quite difficult
I suspect the lockbar puts some tension on the blade

It is getting better as the knife break in but it is definitively not as smooth as my small Inkosi

Does anyone have experienced this ?
How have you fixed it?

You might be pushing on the lock bar slightly while opening it. Even pushing lightly on it will make the knife significantly harder to open.

It feels like the titanium frame lock push too hard on the blade
I tried to adjust the pivot but that doesn't have any effect
If i tighten too much the blade is locked
If I release the pivot there no real differences until the pivot become so loose that the bushings doesn't touch the blade anymore

Can I expect the titanium frame lock to become more flexible after some time?

Humm? I'm still waiting for my large lefty to be delivered but I do have the small. I don't know personally about the large except what I've read here. It seems that the majority of owners have claimed no problems with opening and ease of break-in. Still it's understandable that some won't fit in the category of "most."
When I have my Inkosi in hand of course I want what "most" claim but if I have the OP's problem I will break down the knife and meticulously clean it and if the problem still exists (that many times solves the problem) I will open/close it until it breaks in. Done that before...uggg!

Have you taken it apart, cleaned it and put fresh grease on it ?
Sometimes that makes a big difference.

Take it apart,
clean out the grime.
Inspect washers for damage.
Use the grease but don't over do it.
Reassemble properly, re loctite. Adjust tension.tighten completely then loosen until the blade is touching the scale. Now carefully tighten until the blade is centered. Stop then give a slight bit more tightening, very, very slight.
Try that and problem solve from there.

I have the same issue with a small sebenza. I've cleaned it, etc. But if I tighten too hard on the pivot screw it won't budge. Ive been told this is not possible with pivot bushing system but if the lockbar tension is relieved it swings freely. Obviously, the set up on inkosi is different but hopefully the tension will get easier over time.
