For Inkosi owners, could you please "mike" the blade thickness at the shoulder(just behind the last bevel).
I'm warming up to the idea of getting one, but would like to know what kind of a slicer it is.(not planning on batoning kindling with it):)
I really like my Small Insingo blade for it's slicing ability, could the Inkosi be something like the Insingo in slicing? Of course the Inkosi has a different grind.

Large or small? If you are looking large, here is a couple of pics:

If this is not the area of the blade you were talking about let me know and I will take another when I get a chance.

The Small Insingo is a better slicer in my experience, but the Large Inkosi is no slouch. It's thicker, and more robust. They compliment each other well.

The "small" measured at the same locations as the "large" above are 3.24mm and .71mm respectively.
BTW I love my small Inkosi. It's the nicest daily carry knife I've ever had and I've had quite a few.

Derrel

I'm still looking for a large................

For the Small:
Thank you, good info.
I hoped for .020" to .022", but ok. I do like stout small knives.

The Inkosi is a GREAT knife. Mine is sooooo smooth. I say it time and time again, that is the BEST knife CRK has ever made.

Deleted comment - confused Inkosi with Insingo! Gotta get my Zulu straight I guess!

In order to buy a knife with a grind that thin behind the edge you are going to have to likely look at traditionals with thin blade stock. Stout knives have their place, and the Inkosi is a great one!

Another question, is the Small Inkosi the shallow concave grind?

My Insingo measures .022".
