It is the uncommon purple loctite which is even weaker than blue loctite. I find it works best of all the loctite variety for knives because it is only strong enough to keep screws from backing out, but no trouble at all when you want to undo the screw.
 
Mine had no loctite either but perfect centering,action and smooth as butter.
 
My Ti-lok had no locktite on the clip screw, thus it fell out (luckily in my pocket)...per CRK it should have had some.
