Hey guys, I just bought the wicked edge pro pack 3. I got the hang of it but am unsure what angle the inkosi likes with S35VN. recommendations?

Use a sharpie to determine the factory edge ( 22/23). Then you can start going down one degree at a time until your next sharpening. You’ll find/stop at the angle that serves you the best. It’s better to go slow taking metal off because you can’t put it back once it’s gone.
The lowest I’ve ever gone on a work knife is 21. For me, it helps with the lateral stress I put my knives through to have more behind the edge.
Now, for non work knives, I’ve gone down to 18/19 so it will be more of a slicer.

I'd recommend start at 20 deg actual with the angle cube. I run my DP blades like that. The important thing is to keep an even bevel from heel to tip, so you have to slide the knife back and may have to tilt it down a bit too. Start slowly with the sharpie to check it's taking it off evenly.

I have an Insingo that I turned into a stupid sharp slicer at 15 dps with a tiny 19dps micro bevel but that's more just for fun. Got my Insingo to 98 on the Bess scale (sharpness tester), first time in double digits.

I typically use a SharpMaker for touch-ups so if the original edge is >20dps then it needs a reprofile on my Wicked Edge. The SharpMaker is really just doing a micro bevel which works for me.

Establish the factory edge using the marker and angle cube. Both my Umnumzaan and Large 21 came to about 20 dps, which I use for them. I am on the WE pro pack 1 gen 1, and I also add the 800/1000, 1200/1600 ceramics, 5/3.5 micron and 1/0.5 micron leather strops for mirror edge. With the strops, I set the rig to 19dps. I rely on the angle cube rather than the scales on the rig. Heel to tip action.

19.5 to 22 is where I stay with all of mine.
The 31 below is 20 Dps.
