Since I don't have the technology (not smart enough) to figure out how to retitle my original thread I need to start a new one to announce the winner. I enlisted some of my normal friends, aka not knife fanatics, to review the posts. The general consensus was that Uncle Malice gets the scales. Congrats. Thank you all for going to the trouble of posting all the excellent pics. Hopefully I will have something else to give away in the near future. In the meantime Uncle Malice, get me your shipping info and email and I will get these out to you . Thanks all !

Oh wow. Thank you, Tommy! This is going to be awesome... I guess I better get that BK2 ordered for the old man now, egh?

PM inbound. Thanks again!

Congrats Malice!

Btw Tom, under your OP you should see an "Edit Post" icon...Click that and when it goes to edit mode look for the "Go Advanced" thing on the bottom right. You should then be able to edit your title.

Thanks for the heads up

Just ordered the BK2 from Tomar's... so hopefully it'll be the new style. Really want to see them. I can't decide if I want to strip it or send it to him as is... I guess I'll have to post pics of the scales on my stripped BK2 and also on the black one and let you guys help make that call!

Congratulations Uncle Malice! If it were me I'd leave the coating. The laser etching shows a lot better against the black. Just my opinion...

Hey Tommy, I did have a question. Are the scales sized to fit in the factory sheath? I think I'm going to go ahead and order a Skystorm sheath for it anyways, but just wondering if Skyler needs to make any adjustments to accommodate? Thanks again, man!
