I was wondering if anyone knew what material is used in the inlayed micarta Sebenza. I am having some custom work done on my regular and want to match my inlayed sbbie. It looks kinda like black canvas that has been blasted. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Sorry I should have stated my question more clearly. Is it just black micarta that has been blasted or some type of black gray mix. It has threads of gray that run threw it but is this just the way regular black micarta looks after it has been blasted?

Um, the micarta inlay IS MICARTA.
you are awesome suz! :D

yes, crk just calls it black canvas micarta. i do not know crk's secret mix and i do not know if they will tell you if you were to email them. it is worth a shot though.

good luck

I didn't get much sleep last night. I did mean to write that I thought it was canvas micarta.

It's definitely black canvas, but they way they finish it looks pretty unique. Seems they are very careful about keeping the grain running in the same direction on each piece. Also looks like they cut along the grain instead of across, like most handles do. Just guessing.
