They both have their place and make fine EDC's. The inlay does fill the hand a bit more and works real well on the small-especially micarta. Inlays . They also add a bit dress to the knife. I'll vote inlay, but it is close-sure do like a well worn plain.

Jobsite or Trades: Plain or Micarta inlay
Office or Urban: Small CGG or Wood inlay (most companies have 3 inch rule)
Weekend: Anything as long as it's large

With smalls, I really don't prefer one over the other. I like CF, plain, wood and micarta. I can say though the Small Micarta Sebenza Drop Point is probably my "perfect" knife. Everything about that knife is just right.

I've had a large micarta, PJ and wood Inlay and the only one I have now and prefer is the plain. I think the inlays add a little too much size/width on the large models. At least for me.

Both work great so it is a difficult vote to cast ;)
What I have :
Plain Jane large 21 drop point Damascus blade
Red linen micarta large 21 insingo Blade
KA CF large Inkosi drop point blade
Plain Jane small Inkosi drop point blade
Black micarta small 21 insingo blade

All large versions are great
For the small versions I prefer the Inkosi over the 21
The thickness of the micarta make a difference in hand but not really in the pocket so just take what you like most

i like the Patina the plain Jane takes over time but if you don’t like this the inlays are great as they make the marks on the titanium less obvious

For me, the inlays are a huge improvement over the (large) plain Jane; but, obviously, not everybody agrees (that's why they make both). Unfortunately, the only way to know is to actually have one in hand.

I ended up going with a naked. It’s so tough finding Lefty’s with my exact wants. I ordered exactly what I want from CRK so for the next 6-9 months I’ll have to go naked. The Large Sebenza is just too big for some applications, such as workplace. Hoping the small will be the perfect fit.

I voted ‘naked’ only because I couldn’t bring myself to use my sebenza with inlays (too nice) so I sold it and picked up a plain Jane. Problem solved for me. I do prefer the inlays aesthetically.

I tend to prefer whichever is in my hand at the time but if I had to choose it would be micarta inlays, big or small.

To me, the next best thing to inlays are the Wilson Combat versions.

Thank god that's not a real question!
First Chris made a PJ Sebenza.... ;)
During winter time I like inlays very much.
So preference depends.
