I have an Inova Microlight (along with an X1) on order. I haven't really seen a lot mentioned about the Inova. The Photon seems to rule this niche for lights. How does the Inova compare to the Photon, or any other lights of this type?

The constant on'off switch isn't all that reliable. Not on the ones I've had anyway.

I would say they're about on par on brightness with the photons.

Are the Constant on/off switches that bad? I have a Pulsar that I have never had a problem with. Infact I use that switch often, if you put it half way, then you have to squeze half as hard.

I used an Inova before a Photon 2. They're pretty good, but I find the Photon just a bit easier to use. The constant on switch did screw up on my Inova, but this was after a good year or so, and they're not very expensive. The big advantage they have over the Photon is they're water resistant.

i have had some of the princeton tecs for years and they have started to not work so well, so i recently replaced one with the microlight. so far, it has been far superior. brighter, beefier (as much as can be) and haven't had any problems with the constant on switch. i'm converted.

Thanks for the input. I picked it up as an after thought when ordering my X1. I figured for the price, it was worth trying out.

I had one for a few months and it worked just fine, in fact I think it was great, I gave it away as a present but when I went to get a new one they didn´t have white LED, I ended up getting a three LED 1 AA UZI. I wouldn´t mind getting another inova, the Photons I´ve seen in Mexico are priced higher.

My family has had Microlites for over a year, been through a set or two of batteries and they all still work just fine. .

Microlight arrived today. I'm impressed. It matches my Arc AAA in both brightness and throw. Now I'll see how well it holds up.
