Just got my new Inova T5 today, and I gotta say I'm very impressed! Bigger than I thought, and PLENTY bright. Anybody else have one of these? Opinions? Who really needs anything brighter than this light?

I like my X5 as well. I put a nice little tactical bezel from GG&G on it. Like the LEDS - not too hot. Never snags or hangs up. Good choice!

I've also got the X5. That's not the light I'm talking about here. The T5 is the Police light that is about a foot long and lights up and area about a football field away with ease.

The T5 is just the right size for my rear or side cargo pocket when I need to leave the house at night for a short while like having to take out the garbage, going to the backyard, the mailbox, or to the nearby local "stop and rob" for some munchies. The checkered handle provides a superb grip. The size is just right as a makeshift impact device. The lumens output is super bright- blinding! Inovas are indeed the throw kings. Mine can reach out to 6 floor building windows located around the block from right over the roof of my neighbors house across the street!

I only wish it had some lanyard attachment hole or ring of some sort for secure retention should the need arise. It would also help to make the light anti- roll.

100 lumens is as bright as my surefire L5. I also have a Surefire M6. That produces 500 lumens for lighting up further away. LED's will be the only way flashlights will be made in a few years i'm convinced. Cree is working on some leds that produce 250 lumes a each. Right now 150 lumens is about the threshold for output. but LED technology is advancing at an amazing pace. LED's dont burn out, are nearly shock proof and are much more efficent on batteries than incandecent lamps. The only problem is quality control. every single LED is completely different in output and color as they roll off the production line. The manufacturers then test and sort each LED by output and color.www.candlepowerforums.com
and www.surefire.com are nice places I like to browse.

I've been considering the T5 also, but haven't seen much info on it.
Does it have any spill/flood or is it strictly a spot?
Also, does it have good run time?

I have the X5, it's a great light around the house when the power is out.

It has a little flood, but not much. It does have a ton of throw, and is a friggin light saber at night.
