Finally decided on this one and it should arrive tomorrow. I had a T3 at one time and really liked the light it produced along with the beam it had. There were no dark spots and the beam was very round with little spill over. The T3 was rated at 85 lumens, while the T5 is rated at 100 lumens, but from reading and asking this question at CPF, the general consensus there is that INOVA rates their LED's a little on the high side. Anyone else have one of these? They are relatively new so I don't know how many are out there just yet.

i have a T1 and a T3, i too think inova overates there lumen output, would like to hear what ya think about the T5 when ya get it,

I just received the T5. It is NO mini! The oal is around 8.5 to 9.0 inches, and it is 1.1" in diameter. This is not a pocket light, and looks like it will need a sheath to be carried with comfort. Since I've not had time to check out the light beam, will have to do that when it gets dark, I'll have to come back on that. What I can say is that this is not a lightweight light and INOVA's claims of this being a duty light are probably right in the ballpark. It is thickwalled (1/8") with a type III finish. This light has the mid-body switch and I'm not sure that it matters to me whether it is mid-body, or tailcap, although tailcap switches would seem to offer better protection for the switch itself, I'll just have to wait and see. I can say that the construction, the fit, and the finish of the T5 looks very professional. Even the packaging is first rate with all the information it gives.

Right now I'll just adopt a "wait-and-see" attitude with this light and test it out some and come back when I have something to say about it's actual lighting capabilities.
