Inova X5 flashlights at Discovery Channel Store

The Discovery Channel store at Fair Oaks mall in Fairfax, Va has the Inova X5 Tactical (blue led) for $39.95. Blue is the only LED available unfortunately.

Sharper image also had them for the same price. I need to pick one up someday. Any opinions?

I think they're neat lights. If I had need for another flashlight, I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat. As it stands, I don't need another gadget fetish :-D

Amazingly, that was the price at the Discovery Store in Grand Central Station in New York City.

I got the blue on spec -- I don't like colored lights on flashlights, but this is a blue with ultraviolet overtones, it really 'lights up' anything reflectorized and especially neon-color objects, like my orange Fox 40 whistle. It is nice on late night walks because it shows up obstacles and broken ground without attracting a lot of attention at a distance, like white lights.

I gave my white Inova X5T to my brother, who wasn't up for a Surefire E2 but liked the clean lines and better economy of the X5T.

Remember, if you have a Surefire, you run the Inova for free -- it runs off the Surefire's depleted batteries.
 
I lost my blue Inova X5 tac about a month ago before I even got a chance to use it and it's driving me freaking nuts! :mad:

But...I still have my X5 orginal in white/grey and I really like it. It's great for when my E2 is too bright and I love the fact that it'll take my supposedly "dead" surefire batteries.
