Inova X5 Sheath.

Hey folks,

Just did a cursory search and didn't come up with anything, so I figured it'd be all right to ask here -- although I'm surprised this topic hasn't been covered.

Just got an X5. Great light. I believe that my father would really like one, but he's not a fan of the factory sheath. Does anyone currently make/can anyone currently make leather sheaths for them?

Dave Abramson AKA lifter4him here on the forums makes leather sheaths, i've heard nothing but praise about his work.

Looks decent. TADGear sells a similar looking sheath for three times as much, and acutally makes fun of CountyComm on the sale page. Anyone have experience with either/both?

Keith does them in kydex. I've only had knife sheaths done by him but he does good work at a very fair price.

I have a few of the CountyComm sheaths. As HD and "tactical" as TAD gear or Maxpedition...no. But a very nice and secure unit, far far better than it's price would suggest. I use them for my X5's and various folders.

I have both the TAD sheath and a County Comm sheath. The TAD sheath is much higher quality (stiffer/stronger material, quality velcro, better stitching).

Look up Normark here on BF or On Scene Tactical on Google and you will find him. I have an Inova sheath and it is AWESOME Kydex stuff.

I've got the fanciest X5 sheath you've ever heard of. I got a TAD Gear Expedition Shell (jacket) last year. It has a big velcroed pocket inside on the right. Inside that pocket it a slot that fits an X5 perfectly! And the lanyard I tied on the light sticks up out of the pocket/s so I just haul it out when I need it without pulling at the velcro.

When the weather turns too warm for the jacket, I guess I will have to stop carrying the X5.
