Hello!

Since there have been a couple of the Police utility for sale around the Internet the last weeks. I was wondering if anyone has handled it and wanted to share some info on how it performs and initial impressions.

I have both a production version, and the original custom-They are not the same. The Police utility was a big let down when I first saw it...then I played with it a while...and now I carry it daily. The handle on the one I have is a very thin hard polymer that seems real cheap when you first handle it. You then realize that it feels exactly like a Glock pistol (which I also carry daily). It is also thin. This knife handles very fast, is easy to carry and conceal, and it cuts very well. I guess it does everything I could ask. I generally carry my Emerson's exclusively off duty (along with a Glock of some flavor), and Striders on duty. The Emersons are better as a defensive, or anti-personnel blade, while I literally beat the tar out of the Striders. In the role I use the PUK for it works great, light, general purpose defensive fixed blade. Hope this helps. By the way, the custom version is just plain bitchin, typical Ernie custom.
