So I was at a knife show a few weeks ago. Mostly custom makers of woodland and classic style fixed blades. A few tactical guys & a few dealers on the outer tables with an assortment of new & old blades (many junkers & clunkers). In between a table filled with OTF autos, and another table overflowing with pouches & sheaths is a card table that I almost pass by completely......until i see a shimmer of gold
The gentleman has several heritage knifes, "collector" knives of the army and navy variety. some collectible spoons?!? And this NIB with pouch, still in the plastic Gold Leek

Now, I'm not a Leek Freak or anything...I have 2, but I've been keeping an eye out for a gold one for a while. Let one slip through my fingers a few years ago and kicked myself for it. When i ask the man what he's asking...expecting a ransom for what is obviously the only valuable blade on the bench, he says to me "I've had that thing for years...everybody says it looks nice, but they would be afraid to carry it. You can take it off my hands for 40 bucks..."
You never saw $$$ come outta my pocket so fast (and im a cheap ass...ask some of the fellow members
Whats the best find you ever came across?!?
