I need a favor from someone here that has both the Umnumzaan Pivot Tool and a set of calipers. I'd like to know what the diameter of the hole is that you put the Allen wrench in for leverage. I seem to be having problems holding the wrench in while trying to rotate the pivot...I guess I'm not coordinated enough :o. Anyways, the other day I managed to snap one of the teeth while trying to take my knife apart. My thought is, if I wedged a cylindrical rod of the same diameter in there that would be one less moving part when I'm using the tool.

Thanks!

Thanks Haze! I appreciate the help and the great idea. I was able to check the size of the hole for myself using a set of drill bits. I was able to barely slide a 1/8" drill bit into the hole. Now I just need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy some solid metal rods.
