I did a quick search and didn't find any previous posts on the topic, so I apologize if this is a redundancy. Just a heads up, they just did a quick walk through of the KAI plant in Japan on tv (science channel: what the ancients knew: the Japanese. It looked pretty interesting. I doubt I'll ever make it there myself, but hope to make it to the US plant some day.

That's cool. I'd be very interested in watching it. It might pop up on hulu or YT some day.

I'm going to have to find this. Since moving I haven't had Nat Geo or Science and as a Hows Its Made addict it has driven me crazy. I have the Modern Marvel's Whats In Your Pocket with the KAI USA factory saved on my laptop. I also have all of John Grimsmos videos saved and if you like that stuff you should watch his YT videos. I'm behind 2 weeks but I've watched every minute of the other ones and many of them more than once. He has a breakdown and mini review of a Tim Galyean knife and examines the detent closely. He was testing various types of detent ball ramp in his own design at the time.

Hey Kyle I have a Norseman. If we ever meet up for a swap or something remind me to bring it along for you to check out. I have watched Grimsmo's whole series its pretty interesting
