Here are pics of the various compartments inside the condor and vulture.

There are more useful pockets inside the Condor than the Vulture. The Vulture is very much larger capacity. My EDC for trips is the Condor. My EDC around and about is the Proteus, cause I figured to remove the weight of the Fatboy from my spine and hang the weight on my hips. Review and pics is down the road :)
Note the difference in material for the pen pocket area. Vulture is made of a satiny material and the Condor is made of the same material as the pack. I wish the slots were made bigger cause how many pens do I carry?

Vulture has three compartments. First is a single zip slash pocket deep enough to stash a fair bit.

Center compartment is deep and has a pocket area

Rear compartment is very deep and spacious. It has a small mesh pocket

Condor front has 2 pockets a good size compartment with pen/gear pockets with double zip. A small single zip pocket is above it.

The main compartment, double zip, is spacious with three pockets inside. Two good size mesh and a small pocket behind the rearward mesh.

I would probably accessorize with some m1, H1, etc but never had one in hand it's difficult to guess on the use of the small packs. I ill definitely get a small rolypoly as it fits a large water bottle well.

Tob, great now your going to make me buy one of everything Max. makes. I bought a Country Comm bag because of you! :D Out the 2 packs you have which would you say is a better all around pack. I would use it for school, travel, work, etc. I like the Condor more due to the extra organization it has.

I'd go with the Condor. It has more pockets and I use it all the time.
Particularly for school transitions. Easy access to all then you dump it out and put the play stuff in :)
Or better yet! Don't make a mess Get the big one too.
hahahaha
Condor fits my stuff for weekend trips.

I've not had a falcon, but that's a tween size of Condor/Vulture. Same pocket structure as the Condor, I think.

Maxpedition is GREAT gear.
But I still want a Camelbak BFM :)

Bag looks great!

What kind of pricing on those?

... Whats the sharp pointy thing that looks like it could fillet a hand if ya needed to rapidly remove your handgun?

The blade in the kydex is a Tom Krein TK8 with Brown micarta slabs, brass pins and D2 steel.
Reviews are Here
AND HERE

The ULU shaped thing is a Spyderco Maddox. I posted a review HERE

The Maddox is a fabulous tool for one handed people. When I took these pics I was one handed :)

Pricing on the bags are ~ $80 to $100.

will you bring one to a get together, i need one me thinks!

Gotcha...

I'm guessing it has the little clam shell bit of kydex when the bags in use? Thats one SHARP piece of kit to take a "bite" out of a steak like that...

Was concerned about the livelyhood of your fingers... :D

LaBella, I'll bring both to the next meet :)

Hotrod, Yep, I forgot to mention the clamshell on the Maddox. For the pic I removed the shell as it took away from seeing the blade. :)
The Maddox is TOPS for one handed people. It will make their lives so much better!
The independence of cutting one's own food is to be experienced.
Being one handed for four months was a VERy enlightening experience.
That I don't want to repeat anytime soon :)

I gotta decide between Condor, Pygmy Falcon and Vulture. The normal Falcon is WAYYY to big

I must be on pot or something ... I'm looking at the specs, and the Condor is 30% bigger than the Falcon, and the Vulture is around 90% bigger than the Falcon. If the Falcon is way too big, those other two choices are way way too big! The Pygmy Falcon is the only thing in the Maxpedition line that's smaller than the Falcon -- even the Baby Condor is bigger than the Falcon. Either that or I'm stoned.

No, Joe would appear to be correct. The maxpedition site says that the only pack smaller than the falcon is the pygmy falcon. I think the site might be wrong though, because it says the baby condor is bigger than the condor. It lists their capacities as: Vulture-46L, Baby Condor-33L, Condor-32L, Falcon-25L, and Pygmy Falcon-23L.

Maybe I'm stoned, and I'm correct ... how weird is that?

Seriously, regarding the baby condor, it looks to me like the baby condor isn't such a baby. It's as big as the regular condor, except they've changed the two back pockets to one big pocket, and got a bit more room because of it.

The presence of the baby versions of the condor and falcon make it a difficult decision, IMO. Either you can take the full-size condor/falcon's superior compressibility and more pockets, or take the baby condor/falcon's less compressibility, but you get a side elastic water bottle pocket. I love the idea of being able to compress a relatively big pack to a small size, but I'm also not sure I can live without a side elastic pocket (I know about the roly poly, it's a poor solution compared to a side elastic pocket).
