On of the details that CRK does really nice is the polishing of the heal of the blade. It's also a spot where you can marvel at how close the grind stones get to each other without going right through the blade. This is where the art of the hollow ground blade is most apparent I think. In these photos you can see just how much thinner the blade is on my Large Insingo, compared to my Large standard 21. The spine thickness of both blades is the same, but you can really see why the Insingo is so effortless in slicing when viewing how precisely thin this blade is in the area behind the edge.

Excellent pics! That hollow grind was at the top of the list for why I fell in love with Sebenza in the first place. Ffg's are nice and all, but a deep hollow is my favorite.

Thanks for the pics. :)

The heel is where I look at many times too.

I have removed a good bit of steel to make it slice better.

Thanks for the pictures.
Now I understand why a polished Insingo blade is not an option.

all my 6 sebs have different thickness on the edge, it's pretty normal from my experience

usually the satin ones would be thinner as they are finished after the stonewash, I have one that is thicker than a plane jane
