i bought an Insingo 21 a few years ago, thanks to BF and it’s been great. I particularly like how one can open amazon boxes with ease using the top side of blade.

I basically want a flipper version of this knife. Any ideas on other makers/models that would have the usefulness of the insingo blade style, CRK level of quality, etc?

The closest you’re going to get in terms of quality and toughness is to get a Hinderer that looks similar to the Insingo, I forget what it’s called, and have a top swedge put on it.

Hinderer MP-1 has an insingo style blade. Hinderer also makes a XM-18 Slim with a sheepsfoot blade. Both are flippers

the Hinderer XM-18 sheepsfoot is the closest flipper in that blade shape that I know of ... but the top of the blade tip does not have the swedge like the Insingo ...

but if that's what you really want ... I have seen a couple that had a swedge grind done to them and they looked great and would definitely compare or pass the Insingo for that job ...

and I can whole heartedly recommend Josh @REK Sharpening to do that if you wanted a swedge ... talk to him to see ... but he does exceptional regrinds or mods.

Not exactly similar to the insingo, but a close favorite for me is the Benchmade Bugout.

I like to carry customs with similar blade shapes.

For a few $100 more you are in a few custom ranges and if you stick to a reputable maker you will get your money’s worth.

The XM-18 in a Sheepsfoot isn't the same thing but it's similar if you want a flipper. I like mine a lot.

Take a look at the Spyderco Southard. (Or a Brad Southard). Hollow ground semi sheepsfoot flipper. I'm not aware of anyone with a top swedge though.

I have the Spydie, but happen to be on the search for an insingo.
