I went to a local hardware store with my mind set on a yellow handled mini-trapper. They didn't have the mini but they did have the full sized one in CV. I had told myself that the full size trapper was too big and the mini was just right. Then I started thinking...my Middleman is a little smaller than my Tinker, maybe I should get something a little bigger than the SAK. I thought I was going to end up with the display model but lo and behold there was one under the counter after all. Nice fit and finish. Good walk and talk. Not nearly as heavy as a Buck 110 but big enough to do some real cutting. When I was younger I had a Ka-Bar trapper, maybe that's where my love of the trapper came from. But when I was really little there were only two knives. Buck. And Case. Now I've got one of each. So, is waxing nostalgiac a sign of advancing years?

NIce pickup Frank, I am sure you will get good utility out of it. My renewed addiction for multiblades started when I picked up a trapper a quite few years ago. :)

Waxing nostalgic may be a sign of advancing years, but there are days when that is the only time I'm smiling!
