Glockman99 mentioned something neat on the general forum:

A Spyderco mega-folder patterned after Cold Steel's Vaquero Grande. He suggested G-10, double-lined handles, a full Spyder Edge, ambi clip, and VG-10 blade steel.

Besides him and me, is there anyone else who would like such a blade made with Spyderco goodness?

Man, I swear that I'd sell a kidney, in-order to have one of those Spyderco "Spydie Grande" monster folders!.:D.

Gonna have to have that one! That would out cut, out class, and be the ultimate "anti-sheeple" blade.

Man, I want one!

Well, we're going to have to see if Spyderco sees a large enough market to make such a folder. Until then, for righties and weak-side carry lefties, it will have to remain a Zytel-encased Cold Steel design and a great dream.

<dig>There's also the fact that those Spyderco folks like to design their own blades instead of copy the works of others.</dig> I wish that they'd make a pointy, recurved folder like it, though.

Isn't that just the proto Shabaria's. I think Sal said some where that it started with a 5" blade. I may be wrong.

G10 handles, dual steel liners AND VG10 steel??? Sounds like a Vaquero Grande gone space age!! :D Wouldn't mind having one of those in my collection. ;)

...And don't forget the ambidextrious pocket-clip for us bastid "leftys". :)

Nope, you're right. In fact, if you hold a Shabaria, you realize from the way it slips in your palm that it should have been biger initially.
