Insulated cups - Aladdin replacements?

http://www.aladdin-pmi.com no longer offers the insulated cups I have been using for ~20 years. You know the ones ... those little 12 ounce plastic insualated models you got at 7-11 type places where you got coffee refills for 29 cents and such or, the larger ones for soda pop for 59 cent refills.

I use the big 34 ounce models for iced tea. I brew up a good batch of tea and pour it over ice in the cup and then snap the lid on and drive to work or the store or the next state. Well I have finally worn out the lids to the point they dribble on my shirt when I drink from them. I really want to replace them but, the crappy Chinese imports I see at Wal-Mart have small bases which I know I will tip over all the time and I suspect they will fail the leak test in no time. The classic commuter mugs are little too top heavy for me and the capacity is too small. I considered my 24 ounce model to be the small one and preferred the 34 ounce and larger models when I'm out for a drive in the heat.

Where should I be looking for replacements? Target has several better quality models to choose from but they are all the smaller 16 ounce top heavy small base models. I don't really want to buy a case of 144 from a marketing company and I don't know what kind of quality they are.

I would like to keep my costs at about $10 or less each for a group of 6 to 12 insulated cups. I would like some in the 24 ounce size but, my primary point of interest is in the 34 ounce size. A few larger ones would be purchased if they could be found and appeared to be something I could actually drink from directly while in a car. The cylindrical shape is important so they are stable when placed on a car dash, hood, tool box, etc. so they don't tip when a gust of wind hits them or they are brushed by a hand or something.

TIA everyone!

I am not sure if I could offer you a suitable suggestion for a replacement. I have three 16 oz Aladdin mugs and I am frustrated that Aladdin quit making them. Everything now seems to be stainless steel which may look sharp but cannot be placed in the microwave. Even cheap plastic mugs are still steel insulated which means no microwave. It really bites having to pour cold coffee into another cup just so I can re-heat it.

Earlier this year I conducted a massive search, both in stores and online. The conclusion I came up with is that if you want a foam-insulated durable leak-proof mug that can be microwaved, you are out of luck. That is, unless you want to order a case of 100 mugs with your school logo on it.

Good luck with your search.
