hello together,

this knife is my ´hommage à ginkgo´
since my youth I like these trees,
their leaves are so unique and still fascinating to me...

so I had to try my hands with this shape:

W1 forged
bronze-leaf
striped gidgee
total 29cm
sharp 10cm
thickness 5,5-1,5mm

thanks for looking!
gerhard

VERY nice. Everything flows and there is nothing that does not belong on your knives, especially this one.

People sometimes tell me I am creative. Not sure about me but I've looked up creative in the dictionary:

cre·a·tive (kr-tiv)
adj.
1. Characterized by originality and expressiveness;
2. Gerhard Wieland.

;)

Not that anyone needs proof looking at that knife.
Keep em coming. :thumbup:

that is quite beautiful.

Very nice indeed Gerhard. Love your work with bronze and the carving, exceptional.
Cheers Keith

I really like the stretch between the drop in the blade and the carving of the bolster. That really slows the eye down and gives this a real feminine grace.

Nicely done.

Certainly another in the vastness of your artistic arsenal. Very wonderful knife to view and would be nice to handle. Maybe someday.

lots of ginkgo-lovers here! :thumbup:
thank you all for your kind words!

@patrice,
strange dictionary there...:D
mais j´ai trouvé beaucoup d´autres nomes ici...

best regards
gerhard
