Well, I'm just sitting here dumb-struck speechless. There is sooooooooo much to take in with this piece.... that blade!!, the scrim, the engraving, the carving, the incredibly clean inlays, the sheath(OMG!!), and then there's that display case. Stephan, I'll bet folks are just waiting for the appropriate words to come to them.

THAT is an amazing work of art!

Peter

I admire your work VERY much Stefan, but while this piece has numerous details of fine craftsmanship, it doesn't come together to create a unified look. I like horses, but I think it would appeal more to a horse lover.

Just my opinion.

Regards,
Peter

I agree with Peter, too many elements competing for the viewer's attention.
Even though I love damascus I don't believe this piece benefits from it's use.

Much skill demonstrated by those involved in the creation of this piece.

Thank You very much you opinion Peter

Yes, it is possible that you are right ,People of different tastes and if you do not talk about a specific order ,I must to decide .I would like to show you everything I know .,maybe this is too much ,I do not know .That's why I ask to write an opinion ,to learn from you .

Best Regards

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

I have to say that the craftsmanship and artistic talent is Amazing!!! Blade, carvings, all beyond most. But the theme is a little too rich horse wise for a normal knife lover. I think that perhaps the murals without the carvings or the carvings would leave it with a nice understated horse theme.

That being said, where may I see more of your work?

Thank You opgenorf and Mr Kevin Jones
It is always difficult for me ,decide what kind of decorations should be /carving, engraving, bulino , scrimshaw /much of which is tasteful and how many is much .It is always a very difficult decision fo me .Thank you for your helpful advice .
