Interchangeable wire clips

Sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone know if the deep carry wire clip from say the Pingo, UK penknife, Urban lightweight and similar knives will fit a LW Manix 2? It looks like it should but was wondering if anyone has tried it. I have the chance to get a hold of a Urban lightweight for a very cheap price and would love to use the clip for my Manix 2. I know I could always just bend the original clip but this gives me a chance to buy and try a new knife out.
 
Well I put the clip from my Chaparral on my Manix2 LW.. I cant see why not!! John
 
To the best of my knowledge, all the narrow wire clips, with the exception of the one on the Meerkat, are physically interchangeable. However, some combinations of long clips with short knives and short clips with long knives will look really odd and a few may not work particularly well. All the wide wire clips, like the Assist's, can interchange with one another as well, although there's less motivation to swap them as none are deep carry. Needless to say, you can't replace a wide wire clip with a narrow one, or vice-versa.
 
Also on the Manix LW make sure the clip hits the smooth part on the FRN scale. Otherwise you will have a real pocket shredder.

That is where your issue will arise OP. I swapped the clip from my Sage 3 to a Manix LW I had and it was too short and landed on the texturing instead of the smooth area where the spyder is
 
I would actually be ecstatic to have a pocket shredder.:D The reason I want to change the clip is because with a lightweight knife I'm paranoid of loosing it. For work I wear dress style pants and have often found knives with regular clips sitting on the seat of the work vehicle.
 
The clip from the UK penknife worked perfectly on my Manix 2 and even meets up with the scales at the right point. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get around.
 
Here's a couple of pics to see what it looks like with the deep carry wire clip, it just barely touches the logo at the pinch point. I haven't noticed any pocket shredding yet but I've only had my Manix 2 LW for a short while.
