I'm looking for a fixed blade with a traditional feel too it. Mostly I'll be carrying it daily for work and around town . Mostly for the pure enjoyment of carrying a nice well made and acceptable knife. I see a lot people around where I live carrying tactical knives like usmc kabars, daggers, tantos, etc... I like to carry a fixed blade as well, but with leather and nice woods. Right now I'm looking at a boker nicker 10, mora forest exclusive 277, marttinni witches tooth, helle harmoni, and a 2010 queen bare head. Im just curious about opinions of these knives and any suggestions around the $100 mark and with a 3.5 to 4.5 blade length.

Buck 113 Skinner 3 1/8" Blade Walnut handles Black Leather Sheath can be had for less than $60

Hess knives made up in Michigan have a pretty traditional look and I think can be had around your price range.

I can't really express opinions on the knives you posted but...
There are some nice options among production FB in traditional style.
Buck, Queen, Boker, Condor, GEC/Hess, and other brands produce some interesting patterns.
Yet, for not much more than your price range, you can find even better knives in the knifemakers' sales section of BF.

The Marttiini Witches' tooth is a knife I have lusted after for some time. The Mora 277 is pretty appealing, too. The laminated blade is the sharpest thing I have ever handled. I pocket-carry a Mora 612 sometimes. It is a little long, but so light it doesn't matter. I don't know the other two you mention, but a nice puukko might serve you well.

I don't really care too much for wearing a knife on my belt, however. I might be drawn to something like the Bark River City Knife for the pocket.

All good options. Those Hess knives sure are pretty.

How about a Grohmann? Nice little blades, they don't seem to frighten the sheeple. Full tang. Multiple steel and grind options.

To me, they have that "Gentleman's Knife" appeal like the 277. If you go that route, I'd love to hear your feedback. I have been looking at that one for a long time.m

Just a thought.
