Saw this on the 'bay and thought others might
find it interesting..

Special Pivot Pin for the 2010 Shot Show "

(The rest of the knife looked normal.)

I remember seeing a similar Mnandi at SHOT show with the special design on the pivot and on the back of the price tag it listed a company and said the company had them on order.

So not sure if it was an exclusive to a company like the Insigno to KnifeArt or if it was something that anyone could order and that company just decided to put in an order for Mnandis with the special pivot.

Can't exactly remember which store was listed on the tag....saw a lot of stuff at SHOT Show. I know there was "Knife" in the company name somewhere

The CRK jewelry at SHOT was also kind of cool and I am wondering if they are going to start listing it on their site or through their dealers. Necklaces made of Sebenza parts, pretty interesting.

I have seen several mnandi on ebay like this with the fancy pivot bushing. Adds a nice touch to an already beautiful knife.

It would be nice if they offered some assorted bling
for personal customizing.. Would seem like a natural for CRK.

i believe CRK has a special type of bushing made specifically and only avalible at the shot shows. I have seen some floating around when i was looking for a mnandi. I wonder if you could get one from their shop to kind of customize your own knife.

CRK makes these special decorated Mnandi's for most of the shows they attend; they usually have a few at each Blade show as well. Here's mine:

Thanks,

Thanks Dave. It's one of two Mnandi's I've always wanted. Now just need to find one of those dragon skin damascus ones with snakewood :)

Closest thing I've got to it, which isn't that close . . .

BTW, what does dragon skin damascus look like, and who makes it?

Wow, very interesting!

I once called to ask about the decorated pivots - answer is they're done only for various shows. They sure are good looking!

Those pivots definitely add a little more flair to the knife. I like them alot. Troy, your example is absolutely beautiful with that choice of wood!

Dave,
That's the damascus I was talking about. I knew it was by Bertie, but I always called it dragon skin, but it's really the snake skin you have there. Very nice! That and the zebra were always my favorites.

The pivot on that Mnandi is done in a similar style to the decorated spacer on an "anual regular Sebenza" I'm mulling over just now.
