Here's a Bolo a friend of mine recently acquired:

The blade's profile is identical to that of Kris Cutlery's Bonifacio Bolo, so a Bonifacio is probably what this is.

What I really like is the pommel. (It reminds me of the raised fist on pan-African flags, such as was seen in the movie "Higher Learning.") It would be almost comical to beat somebody with it.
 
Nice. The closed-fist pommel is rather ubiquitous. I have a WWII era bolo that belonged to my wife's uncle with the same handle motif. It was made by a blacksmith from Tanai, Rizal.
 
1. Thanks for the info, Steve. Do you know what the fist symbolizes, if anything?

Nice bolo! The blade shape is similiar to the sword short that Ed Schott is making me in 3V.

I like the hand with the nail. The fist looks like a grip for holding various blades.
