Good read, thanks for the link. I still use my SiC bench stones all the time, I don't think my diamond stones cut any faster (though they do a much tidier job).

I still have some knives that I prefer to sharpen on Sic. oilstones ( Old Hickorys for ex.) I just like the edge I get from them.
