On my lunch break today I passed a shop that sells junky kinda stuff, porcelain dogs, cheap watches, essential street vendor stuff.
however they had an intersting looking all stainless chinese folding knife there. parang style blade . Junk i thought but i was curious so i checked it out and bought it for 7 euros.
It´s made by a brand called sanrenmu in guanxi china( so it says on the warrenty. I was surprised how well it was made for the price.
shaving sharp out of the box. made out of 4 parts, blade, scales and slipjoint backspring that extends into a lanjard hole.
blade is perfecty centered closed aswell as open. no space between the backspring and the scales. good fit and finish. I´m pleasently surprised. i´ll post how it performs. maybe lachine knows more about the brand...

I wish i had a digi cam. I´d post it in a minute. Internet search didn´t turn anything up. maybe lachine will jump in with some info.
i´ll keep you posted on the knife. edgeretention is good sofar. 150 draw and slash cuts on fir and pine and it´s still shaving sharp.
no word what kinda steel it is.

Any idea why that  is appearing before every apostrophe you type?
My guess is that it might have to do with the German keyboard schema he's using.
