Interesting developments on Buck Cutlery line

Saw the upcoming new knives on Instagram. The elk ones look great. And even though I don't have a real need for a cleaver, something tells me I do need one. Don't know when they'll show up on website. I bet they won't be discounted.

They're on the website now. It looks like they removed the discount on all cutlery. I swear I saw it discounted before.

I remember when they had the discount available on elk sets...

I sorta like the small chef.
I have one tho, not Buck.
I like that at least they have some flat grind offerings.

I was sorta hoping for ebony handles as I seem to accumulate them somehow.

It was not discounted and then a couple of years ago, the discount was applied. Now, it is gone. Originally, the letter from Buck I received stated “no cutlery”.

Interesting about the discount. I think most of you have the BCCI discount. I have a pro discount and cutlery is still discounted for me but it isn’t much of a discount. It was a larger discount before. I have been wanting to buy a pairing knife, but the current design reminds me too much of a Cutco. I wish they would release the classic cutlery designs again. I have moved my 102 into the kitchen to fill the void.

the little chef knife looks useful. im kinda surprised they released the cleaver. partially due to how many actually use a cleaver anymore. other part is i thought that was a once out botm deal. now looks like its in regular production.......

Aren't all 3 former BOTM knives?


I have the elk handled kitchen set and was tempted to put elk on these. But I don't like the kitchen set enough to worry about matching them. With the ex option of the cleaver, I use the other 3 frequently.
