A work of F.Giovianni. Pics are not good, but it looks great. Looks like the red ink may have bled on one side along the bottom, but I still like it. For what it may go for, would take me a week of working overtime to pay for it.

This was one of a set of four, and my notes say that there were 8,000 of each serialized. The one on eBay is serial number 3529, and likely a reject. It had a stainless blade, SCHRADE+ over LTD. tangstamp, came with a spur stamped suede sheath. The four color scrimshaw art was done by Schrade artist Frank Giorgianni.

1987 - Cowboy - 8,000 pcs.
1988 - Pony Express - 8,000 pcs.
1989 - Eagle has landed - 6,000 pcs
1990 - Gold Rush - 6,000 pcs


There is a Pony Express on eBay now too. According to the seller, the brochure states that the colors are hand painted dyes, not heat stamped on. This makes sense because registering two, three or more color dyes and tapes for multiple stampings would be a nightmare.
