So I bought the wife the ESEE lite machete and it came on Wednesday - the machete was as expected - well done but not the quality control the US made stuff has - no worries, though, I am sure it will hack through stuff very well. The sheath was another matter - much better than expected. Simple but very functional and of much higher quality than I was expecting - obviously ESEE kicks out great stuff at any price point. To the point, I was not gonna buy anymore knives for a while, but found a 3 on fleabay for a really cheap price - OD w/orange scales - so I ordered it for my cousin. Didn't really pay attention to where it was coming from until I got the confirmation - Gallant, Alabama. Hmm. Interesting. Surely no coincidence, eh? Ya'll have a good weekend.:D

I belive someone brought this up about a week ago and Jeff said it's someone he knows. Lots of folks had good things to say about the seller to.

Damn, it's a freakin' conspiracy!!!

The dealer is kin folk. Already been discussed on this forum. She buys from us just like any other dealer, has a business license, a State of Alabama Sales Tax Permit and everything else we require for someone to be a dealer.

My kind of conspiracy - great product at cheap price. Oops, I mean inexpensive. Anyway, once I told my wife ESEE was based in Alabama (she's from Tuscaloosa and we met in Birmingham, then moved to TN) she was suddenly alot cooler about me buying ya'lls knives. And she is totally digging the lite machete I bought her. Whatever works, right?!

Exactly! Appreciate the trust in our knives!

You're really in good shape. The other half of ESEE, Mike, is in Tennessee. ANOTHER conspiracy! That's it, they're all going on the exchange!

If everyone really knew how we were setup and what we really do, they would think it was a movie script. Truth is indeed stranger than fiction ;)

Are we talking Banjo music movie script here or something else? :D

Hey Jeff - I just typed a freaking huge response on the Grylls knife thread, then when I hit enter I got cut off - thread closed. What is the deal there? I realize and appreciate that you guys don't want a hate fest for other makers on here, but at least one guy (me) had reasonable things to say about the whole situation. Not trying to be an a$$hole, just being new to bladeforums and not understanding what the criteria here is exactly (and I don't want to waste time typing only to be rejected.)

You just hit it about the time I closed it. No one was trying to exclude you. It's just the thread had gone on long enough. We simply don't allow these types of threads to stay open long here since being pissed at other knife companies is not our style. With that said, let's not re-hash it here since it will only lead to this thread being closed to. Ok?

Unless it's about Becker or ESEE, then all bets are off.
