Interesting find today

Stopped by a local store today and found these two discontinued knives for sale. This is a nice police/military supply store but they are a bit disorganized and these knives were buried in the back of the showcase.

What amazes me is that as far as I can tell the 721 Pardue was discontinued in 2004. Amazing that it could sit there unsold for so long. I negotiated a little bit off the marked prices which basically covered sales tax. So I hope I did ok on pricing but even I paid a bit too much (values are hard for me to find for these) I feel like I scored just finding them in stock. Plus both feel great in hand so they'll be nice to occasionally carry and use.

I almost forgot, they also have one of these. Anyone know how long these have been discontinued and if it's worth the listed price. Anyone want me to pick it up for them?

Nice finds. That NIB 721 is a great knife, not seen very much these days. The 745 is a keeper too. Congrats!

Nice finds indeed. Cool offer on the 426BK. I think its well worth the price. Dbl thick Ti, Silver Twill, disco'ed. Snody colab. These are some of the smoothest productions knives. I can only speak for the satin blades. Premium materials and F+F. Very close to custom or GC quality. I think these were underrated. Still are in my opinion. There were a couple floating around the forums recently...sold for less. I do not understand.

Mini dejavoo is sweet. I always debates about getting one. Never did. Nice score.

That Bowie is awesome, excellent find

Thank you. This knife feels really great in the hand. Like a G10 Griptilian and sized right between the full-sized and mini Grip - which I think is ideal.

Did this Mel Pardue knife precede the Griptilian or is the Grip an older design (i.e. when did Benchmade start making the Griptilian line)?

The Griptilian was first introduced in 2002.

The 72X series are IMHO superior to its replacements the 55X and the 52X series. I think Mel Pardue made MY knife when he designed it and BM produced it.

I thinks that's awesome to find a couple hidden gems (brand new no less) buried in the back of a showcase. Good for u TechDoc.

I would love to find a brand new BM-HK 14255 Tanto hidden somewhere. I really wish I had one.
