Interesting find

My husband found this Schrade at a store that sells collectibles and things. Normally quite a bit larger than I prefer, but couldn't pass it up for $5.

You got a heck of a deal on that one. Those big old wood and brass lockbacks don't get as much love as they used to but I still like them and remember when they were as commonly carried on belts as phones are today. Not much they can't do and I think they are good looking to boot.

Someone chime in comparing Schrade + to Buck 420HC.

From about age 13-20 I got a lot of mileage out of an old LB7 like that! Traded a cheap Mexican switchblade for it. Dang fine back-pocket knife.

It's a great knife. $5 is gravy on it as well. It looks to be in very good shape.

That is a nice find right there, as others have stated you got a excellent deal at $5. Also as stated before too, I would also be interested in a comparison between the steels.

I like Schrade + over Bucks 420hc. I no longer own many Bucks(only a 110). But I own several Schrades with the stainless. I prefer Schrades carbon steel over any stainless.
