Thought I would share. A friend brought over a box with several boxes of shotgun shells found in the garage. Underneath was this.

That's a great set! Is that an LB1 LB5 and LB7? And are those nickel silver bolsters on all three?

Yes nickel silver bolsters. Must admit I didn't notice that. The nickel has yellowed with age.

I'll admit I'm not a schrade collector. Have a few fixed blade and folders from the late 60s and 70s. Thinking a set this nice should go to someone who needs to complete or add to a nice collection. If or when this gets listed I'll put a heads up here.

Just curious, about what years is this from? Afraid if I keep them I'll start collecting. Already into old guns and vintage fishing and reloading. Not sure I should start another habit.

Thanks everyone.

I seem to remember seeing a factory memo on the production of this set, but can't remember the details. lrv will remember. Maybe he will see this and pop in with the details.

This is a very nice set! I may be way off here, but for some reason 1981 comes to mind. That was the year the LB1 and LB5 were introduced, according to Dale Vincent's research found on AAPK. It was also the year before the LB3 came out, which would have been a logical member to this set if it were released after the LB3 was released. Again, this supposition is based on often faulty memory.
