Thought I'd share this. Looks good. Kind of like how Peltonen designed and produced the more rugged version of the puuko.

A "one bush tool" design evolved from the older issued "taiter hukari" of the Finnish troops.

Although taken from the seax inspiration, I also see a Chinese dadao flavor with the ringed butt.

BTW, there's another more intriguing product, note; "Air dry only" ;) :D

I like the design. I have modded a few machetes similarly, but I wish they had that longer handle.

I could buy one. I do like the design, too. Although for my purposes, I would be well enough off using the M-95 sissipuukko.

Pretty cool. IMO this is how most bowie handles should look. A lot of knives have finger choils so you can "choke up" on the blade but to do so your hand is half on and half off the handle. This model brings the handle up to the proper point. BHK's machete is the same idea.

I was just going to comment on the similarity to the BHK machete handle...a big advantage to a larger blade like that.

According tho the manufacturer's web site the knife is made of 80CrV2.

Anyone shed some light on this steel?

Interesting bit of kit for sure. All business and no frippery. Smart choice not to encumber it with some great lump of a sheath as well. That the lot slides into a standard frog is great. That Taiter Hukari thing looks very “competition cutter” too.
