GEC has come out with a lot of innovations. Some of their jigging is quite interesting. They call this "crowsfoot".

But wait! There's more!

This forum inspired me to get the Queen, which I carry during the week. The home-made Russel I have been carrying on weekends and hikes and stuff.

Funny story: I used PC-7 epoxy to put the Russel together (using a really old axe handle as a Hickory-donor) and I thought it would be cool to use brass screws in tapped holes instead of pins. Well, the center hole is epoxy colored instead of brass because I got in a hurry and broke the tap off in that hole! Doh!

P.S. Hi all. I just found this forum a week or so ago and I really like the vibe. You guys are awesome. The Jackknife tales! Wow!

Just for the sake of the information. Crow-foot is also a fabric weave pattern. The result does bare resemblance to the knife handle.

I like it... I like that they did a gradual fade from the bolster back, instead of full coverage.

GEC released some yellow handled knives a year or two back which had several jigging patterns.I can remember Herringbone and Sheffield. The 73 flat bolster single blade I have in Orange has a kind of criss-cross jigging that looks well.
