Gentlemen,

During digging through the pile of "unwanted" knives I found this interesting folder.

Looks like old folding knife with a car key (?) I have never seen anything like that before...

Maybe somebody can share the knowledge about this knife or similar knives? What is it, who made them and what was a point?

How old is this knife?

The stamped logo is very small and not very readable. But looks like it says "Hammer Brand USA"

Please see pictures for details.

Thank you for all replies!

That's actually pretty smart putting a key there, I've never seen anything like that before. Sorry I don't have any info.

Ya know....that could be done. It may well HAVE been a car maker promo piece.

A key blank as a 'blade'...then take it to the Ace and have em duplicate a key on it on one of those machines. Why not? Great when you find you've lost the car key when you return to the trailhead after a couple weeks on the mountain.

I forsee a new one in the lineup...The Spyderkey. Or a new blade idea for SAKs.

Cool. Sorry I can' t ID it for you.

I've seen these guys before, they are amazing pieces of history. I have also seen people put their house keys and such on their SAK's too. So, instead of a reamer (or another tool), they have their key.
