Picked up this hefty Lippincott Double Bit axe last week. On one side it’s marked:
Lippincott&COAXEMFDBY
HSB&CO Pittsburgh PA

on the other side it’s marked:
AMERICANAX It weighs in at 5lb 7oz. It also has a 6 stamped on the cheek off-centered. Is this is a Mann creation while he was with AATCO? Anyone have any information to add? Thank you in advance! Merry Christmas!!
