I happened to come across a link for a new multi-tool called the Switch. It allows you to take it apart and switch out or add different tools. It allows you to go from 2 tools all the way up to 13. Here's the link if you're interested in checking it out. http://www.quirky.com/products/35

It certainly seems like an interesting concept, I'm just curious how it feels in the hand.

Edit: It appears it isn't even a real product right now. You're just committing to buying it when it becomes real. I guess it helps to read everything on the site.

It looks like it will be horribly ungainly, with appalling ergonomics and little real world application.

I agree. If they could find some way to streamline the design I'd probably put one on order. But that huge circle at the front of the knife just seems a bit unnecessary.

As for a real world application, if they streamlined the design, this could be the customizable "SAK" people are always after Victorinox to make.
