Does anyone have any experience with these? I saw one today, it looked pretty cool, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend money on it. I remembered the website though, and checked it out of curiosity. I think I'll try one out...

I had gotten one of the original models. It was worthless. It wouldn't spin up fast enough to have any real effect. I returned it and got my money back.

Hi!

Been interested in these too for a while.
Not for any other idea then pure gadget/fun.

If you do get one i'd appreciate if you let me know how you liked it.

TIA

After seeing these posts, I ordered a Dynaflex Powerball ($29.95) from www.backbenimble.com. I have to say, I really like this thing! I have to use the string to start it up, but once I get it going pretty fast, I can definitely feel my wrist and forearm being worked out. I really think this works as a strength building device.

The Powerball version includes a generator in the core that powers four red leds. The faster the rotor spins, the brighter the leds. Very cool.

I brought it to the office, and my co-workers all thought it was cool AND useful. One of them wants to buy one right away.

I also got the "Speedometer" add-on ($12.95) for the Powerball. I'd recommend staying away from this add-on though -- it stopped working within minutes. What a waste.

I went and got one from a local store yesterday. I thought it was cool...I played with it all day.

This morning, my wrists hurt like holy hell!

I do feel it working all the muscles in my arm, but my wrists and forearms are mainly feeling the burn.

I found out I can start it with my hand today...good, because I figure the string'll break sooner or later.

Trust me, everyone you show it to will want to try it. You can impress them too, since most people can't start it without the string!

I'd guess I'd recommend it. It can be used for therapeutic purposes, works pretty much all the muscles in your arm and hand, is fun, portable, isn't too strenuous, so you can do it for a while, and you can pretty much make it go as fast as you want. Yeah, and there's the coolness factor.

Of course, I could be wrong.

I had one a while back, only it was a "Dyna-Bee" I think. I could get that sucker spinning fast enough to literally BURN holes into magazines, paper, whatever with the exposed part of the plastic wheel thing. Get one, they're cool. One word of advice... keep it in a ziploc sandwich bag wheh not in use, they collect dust and are uncleanable. Also, don't put it in your pocket, for the same reason.

I figured out how to start it by hand today too! Actually, once I got the hang of it, it's very easy to do now. Cool.

Yeah...the next day, I found that I could start it with one hand, the one that I was holding it in.

Unfortunately, I brought it to a birthday sleepover. Naturally, everyone thought it was cool and wanted to try it. Right now, the gyro's damaged, or it's really dirty. I may have to get a new one.

Actually, I think it's ok now...phew!
