I thought I'd share this little story with you. It makes me chuckle when I think about it

A month ago I was at my aunt's for thanksgiving (I live in Canada, that's why it was a month ago)and I was sharpening her knives. I suggested that she store them blade side up in her knife block so that she wouldn't pull the edge through the wood and dull the knives as she draws them out of the wood. Well, you should have seen the look my aunt and mu mother gave me!!!! It was as if storing knives that way would somehow make them fly out and cause accidents or something!!! I thought I'd share that with you! If only the non-knifenuts knew...

My wife gave me the same kind of look when I got my new Apex sharpener from Ben (A GREAT tool by the way) and started practicing on her big, cheap kitchen knives. She was really afraid she would hurt herself with a knife that was sharp because she was used to them being real dull. Oh well. Maybe I should just leave the butter knives for her.

confidence.

Do you mean that one is not supposed to sharpen the butter knives?

I thought it was strange that they were all so dull. It to forever to sharpen 'em too. Really bad geometry.
