This one is nice enough, but the handles don't look right to me in comparison with the age/use of the blades. Looks like a Muskrat Man job. ;)

Just kidding, MM. But it does look like someone has done a rehandle. Look at how large and proud that brass spring pin is compared to the pile side.

Also, I'm sure I'm wrong, but I always see these with "Scouts Prepare" on the shield, like this:

Of course, the can opener is a different style, so i could be all wet on this, unless this is a pre-Catalog E Schrade. I have never seen a Schrade knife with that offset bail.

Anybody else want to comment?

The bone looks Camillus-ish (say that fast five times! {say THAT fast five times also}), or maybe Imperial-like. I don't recall seeing an offset bail on any of them.

I don't recall seeing any Schrades with that style can opener either.

Yes, it definately matches #D9463 on page 92 of Catalog E supplement 1934.

WOW....I'm impressed that anyone would just happen to have a catalog from 1934 of Schrade Knives. I'm also impressed that they made such cool looking knives back then.

Yep, good thing Codger keeps all his catalogs after they arrive in the mail !! lol

Tbag, I had it read to me out of a book that's what folks did with their time way back before TV and video games. Sat around making quality pocket knives to carve out a new fiddle or shave wood trim for their woody wagon while they fussed about the weather and gas going up over 9 cents/gal.

All us old farts have the catalogs from 1934...
In fact I have a few..

Yes Mike, I agree that it matches my knife. The point was that I could not find any match to the ebay knife.
