cleaning out my drawers, I chanced upon this pair of Buck 110 bought from somewhere in the distant past on Ebay.

Typical late 2 dots. What puzzles me are the markings engraved onto the blade.

What are your thoughts ?

Interesting. Rainier and the Rainier police dept here in Oregon is just about 25 miles north of me. It would be interesting if that is where they came from.

Maybe they were confiscated knives or evidence knives they finally cleared out and sold?

I think if evidence, a date would be there.
I know the Wichita PD put a date on the .45 I used in self defense. (they gave it back after the DA ruled self defense, no charges.)

Not to steal the thread but did they actually damage your property by engraving it with a date..... I'd be pissed.... or does no charges override that.... :D

no damage to the .45. it did upset me that they kept the then newly introduced Black Tallon ammo that was in it ...
