I recently was beating on my Mora Craftline Pro in stainless, which is one of my favorite Moras, and after it got a bit worn, but not too dull, I decided to run it on the Sharpmaker at 15° both the medium stone and the ceramic. After it was crazy sharp, being able to cut a circle out in paper. Don't know if I added a microbevel back on or what but it was nice.

Huh, will try the same thing, have not had a lot of luck with Moras on the sharpmaker, but I want to keep trying. I hear you're only supposed to use the 30deg to give a microbevel or cut the shoulders, I am not exactly sure what I'm doing sharpening yet, but have started using a small loupe to observe my edges and will be trying to sharpen some carbon steel Mora on my 511 and some AEB-L today, trying to use strop and sharpmaker. I could also try freehand on a King 500 stone.

Definitely satisfying when you get that super-sharpness. Victorinox steel has been my favorite to sharpen so far.

Interesting results, because I had the same experience. New to sharpening, just got (re)interested in knives about a year ago. I recently purchased a Sharpmaker, and while practicing I used a base Mora (with a factory edge and used very little) to work on my technique. I was surprised at how much sharper it got on the 30 degree angle.
