Interesting Story about a brave man and his knife.

Hey guys,

Mods feel to move this as appropriate. I saw this a long time ago. I really want to share it with you guys. It's about a really brave guy who, with the help of God, saved his own life with his pocket knife. It was very inspirational to me. What was amazing about this guys was his attitude. He wasn't embittered by this terrible accident and was able to walk away from it with grace. It kinda reminded me some of Jackknife's stories. :)

What an incredible story and a remarkable man. I say remarkable because he grew from this horrible event and seems to be an even bigger man at peace with himself and the event.

This is one situation where I wouldn't mind having a one-handed opener or even a "tactical" knife. Yet he seems to have managed well enough with a slipjoint. Good thing he it was in his pocket, ready to serve when called upon.

I've heard of a similar story, except the guy was in a cave and a huge rock pinned his arm down. It took some huge machinery for them to retrieve the arm.

I've heard similar stories, and I have to wonder if I would have that kind of guts.

I don't know.

I hope I never have to find out.
 
What a really good dude. More people need to be like that. He doesn't blame anyone or anything and is moving on.

He's smart for having a knife on him.
