The Redskins of Smith Center Kansas remain undefeated this season. While that is not all that spectacular, what is interesting is that they have not allowed their opponents to score on them yet this season - I think season scoring is around 649 to 0. They have not had to punt yet this season. They played their first district game for state last weekend and scored 72 points in the first quarter - I'm not sure, but I think they are averaging around 65 to 0 per game. Its been kind of interesting to watch this develope. Smith Center plays in division 2A which is the small school 11 man league.

My dad's high school team, actually they let 7th graders and up play, were unscored upon during the 1951 season. Not sure if they ever had to punt, but they never had anyone cross their 40 yard line.

Back then it was easier to do things like that. Coaches didn't have people going to games and taping the plays. You coached your team to the best of your ability and let ride on Saturday.

Does Kansas not have a continuous clock rule after your up by 40? The one year our H.S. team rocked in 3A was alot like you're describing...but after we got continuous clock coach threw in the second string. I bet averages were still something like 50-14. I know it's a small school but they have to have some backups. Why would the coach not want to preserve his starters, they're obviously of high value...and even 2 or 3 weak links in football are gonna make a team far..far...far from the kind of teams we're talking about.
