Interesting tools used to harvest agave to make tequila

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Geneva, Swiss, SunSans-Regular]They definitely make short work of trimming off the leaves with the Coa and using the Hacha to half or quarter the agave. I saw it on "How it's Made" on The Science Channel.[/FONT]

Those are very interesting! Thank you for posting. I'll have to see if I can find that episode of How it's Made.
 
I came across a Youtube video some years ago showing a shop forging the spade-like tools, including a two-stage die on a power hammer for rolling the sockets. It was quite neat, and I can't find it anymore. :(
